Long Time No Write

Hello faithful reader(s)!
Hopefully you're still reading. I know it's been awhile... I'm sorry...I promise to try and do better. As you know, life has been a little more interesting these days with our recent addition of Ho Ho. I'm contemplating changing our blog name to "Adventures in East Asia with Dave and Morgan and Ho Ho". Thoughts?
Things have been going great here, we are truly so thankful. Still studying the language... learning so much everyday... it's amazing to me how there's always more to learn.
The other day I took Ho Ho to campus (her first trip outside). She was QUITE the hit. It's already not too difficult to meet new people, as people are generally very interested in foreigners. Add a cute puppy to the mix? Irresistible! I think that we met at least thirty people in two hours. (From 2 year olds to college girls to nice grown men who have their own dogs and feed them sausages and recommended I do the same). She even was a part of a photo shoot that was happening (the girl came over and said, "excuse me, can we use your dog for part of our photo shoot?" I of course complied.) I even got to be in a few pictures myself! It's been rainy the past few days but I can't wait until we get a chance to go back.
Hmm... other news...
The other day I was walking on the sidewalk and there was a motorcycle parked in the middle of it with a man sleeping on it, helmet over his face, snoring so loud (there were tons of people around). He's a motorcycle taxi driver, taking a mid-day siesta (a lot of people do that here). We see people sleeping in carts, on top of wood slabs, all kinds of things. That's not really news...but when I saw it I thought, "oh I want to mention this on the blog because it's really funny. He was really snoozing!
Another thought...earlier I mentioned that foreigners are interesting. I would like to put that in the perspective of the fact that pretty much every single person we see is Asian. That means that they are all "asian looking". It is rare to see someone without dark, dark hair. Have you thought of that before? It hit me the other day that almost every person I see when I'm out and about has dark, dark hair and darker skin than ours. I really like that. But it really makes sense that they would be so interested in seeing someone with lighter hair and white skin.
