P.S. Just wanted to say that my Pityriasis Rosea is long gone. So thankful! I think I had one of the easiest cases ever. It came and was gone within 2 months time. I had a fairly itchy month or so particularly in there, but it was nothing. So I'm back to my plain "white" self- (my tutor says sometimes, admiringly, "you're so white!")

Touching base

You may be wondering what transpired after our last post about the ear-bugs. I think they're actually mosquitoes. And they were starting to drive me a little over the edge... resulting in one night, me sleeping alone in our room with the lights on and waking up every hour or so trying to kill these two brilliant mosquitoes who only attack when I was asleep...anyways, let's just say it couldn't go on much longer like that. I was starting to hear buzzing even when there weren't any bugs. So, I went to the store and found a mosquito net. In my mind, it was just going to be a big piece of cloth that hung from the ceiling and draped around the bed. Oh boy, was I wrong!! We are now the proud owners of a purple mosquito tent. The tent goes on top of the bed and has zippers on both sides to zip in and out of. It is so cool. It feels like we're camping every night, especially because we can now happily sleep with our windows open. For my friends from college, they know my affinity for tents and my love to set up my tent in my room, just for fun. This is like a dream come true! We have really been enjoying it.

Other than our recent mosquito tent/net acquisition, things have been going well here. The weather has been mild which is great. Ho Ho has recently started going on walks, so that's been a blast for me, because she is like a people magnet. We just go out and you never know who you'll meet. Yesterday I gave her her first bath. She looked like a large squirrel (or some kind of crazy animal) when her fluffy hair, that unbeknownst to me makes her look double her size, was wet. It was cute. We still kind of can't believe we have a dog, but are so glad we do. She really, really likes people, and we really like that.

The World Cup is huge here. Dave went on Friday night with his two best friends here to a tea house on Friday night to watch the opening ceremony and first game and said it was crazy. Tons of people and everyone so excited. Dave's pretty excited too-- he even got up at 2:30 a day later to watch the England vs. US game. I was planning on getting up with him, but somehow when 2:30 rolled around the idea of soccer and popcorn with Dave didn't appeal anymore like it had twelve hours ago. He had fun and likes to yell when he watches sports, even alone, but it didn't wake me up.
