Hi friends! Well, if you haven't heard... Bun Bun is a BOY!!! We are having a baby boy and we are so thankful to God! We have been having a blast lately thinking through name ideas... Dave made a great point last night that was really encouraging to both of us, that while a name is important, what's most important is the person behind the name. We want to be praying for our little boy. We have spent tons of time already preparing, thinking of names, learning about baby stuff, etc. But most importantly of all is to be praying and worshiping Christ, letting God turn us into the parents that He wants us to be. What hope there is in that!! There are so many mistakes we're going to make...but I am filled with hope that ultimately our Father is the best parent ever. Praise Him!
We are in week 21 now--time is flying by. Sometimes I don't know how I can wait 19ish more weeks, but I know it's for the best...we need all the prep time we can get! :) We are excited to head to the States in May and can't believe how BIG my belly is going to be by then. I am already growing it feels like daily. Thankful for preggo hand-me-downs and how they have been spicing up my style a little. It's fun because you inherit things that maybe you normally wouldn't by yourself but add a different flair to your usual wardrobe. So right now I'm in a combo of wearing the same outfit every day and then suddenly adding a new article of clothing that really looks nothing like the rest of my clothing. It's great! It's still pretty cold here, but once it gets warmer, I'll be able to start wearing lots of fun hand-me-downs AND show off my belly! Still adjusting to that... ;) Here in EA, pregnant women often wear clothing that helps protect against radiation. Yesterday our tutor gave us a gift-- a radiation gown! It is sweet and pink and I feel like a real genuine EAsian preggo. That was so thoughtful of her...we are so blessed to have been thoughtful, generous, loving people in our lives!! So thankful for them and the reflection of our amazingly thoughtful, generous and loving Abba they are!
