Latest Update

Hey faithful readers! (If we have any left :)) Sorry we stink at updating/writing stories/funny experiences. But, we are happy and we really like you all! Things are going great here...some friends from America who were here recently bought bikes for us! What a huge blessing! So we have been loving making the most of those. Mine (Morgan) has an extra large basket, perfect for groceries or Ho Ho. She's only ridden once so far and wasn't loving it, per se, but she will once she realizes it means she can go anywhere with us now! Also in Ho Ho news, we gave her a haircut last week and now she's looking a little scrappy but cute as ever. We figured, anything those dog hair stylists can do, we could do, right? Except for that whole DYING POLKA DOTTED SPOTS ON YOUR DOG thing.

Dave's dad and aunt are coming in two weeks! And then my mom and uncle come a day after they leave! It is going to be a super fun-family-filled month. I am so thankful that we have the privilege of them coming and of their sacrificial love to come SO FAR to visit. Hopefully we can take them lots of fun places and give them lots of yummy food to make the trip that much sweeter. Can't wait!
It's funny the things you find yourself requesting when people are coming from America. Some things: deodorant, especially men's because they don't really have it here (but, somehow, people aren't smelly!); whole wheat tortillas (which I think I bought maybe twice ever in America but I guess you never know the things you'll miss); birthday candles; Kongs for Ho Ho; Miracle Whip; goldfish...thought about asking Dave's dad to bring Chik-fil-A for Dave because lately he's been thinking of that yummy chicken, but we thought it might be kind of yucky once it got here. But maybe it's worth trying!? As fun as it will be to receive fun American treats, we are by far most excited for our fam to here. They are our biggest, best American treat.

Lots of our (foreign) friends around here have headed to the US for the summer, so it's pretty quiet around here! And a lot of students have headed home, so it is definitely different than when school is in session. As great as it is when lots of people are around, there's something kind of peaceful about this time. We will move to a new campus in the Fall and then things will be in full swing (which will all take place directly after our fam leaves for the States) so it's nice to take a little time now to continue studying, but also pack, hopefully(!) hit the waterpark, etc.

We have recently been slightly hooked on a certain tv show, we use it to study but it is also really fun to watch! It's called something like "Dream Waltz" and the girl in it is just so cute and happy. She is a really hard worker and so, so faithfully and steadfastly committed to her husband (who never smiles and is not too nice). It really teaches me a lot and has been an encouragement and challenge to me. I want to be a better wife! My husband smiles lots and is TOO nice to me! I am really thankful.
